I’ve abandoned quite a few books in my time. i always feel awful afterwards but, as Stephen King says, there’s a hell of a lot fo books out there. you don’t want to waste your time on the shitty ones or the one sthat are ‘just okay’.
that said, i do try to give them plenty of chances. and a few that don’t grab me at first have span around in the end to impress me: eg ‘when god was a rabbit’
I believe I’ve only ever stopped reading… four books? It’s hard for me to stop, because I want to give them a chance, and I’m curious to see how it will end. But… sometimes they just aren’t worth it. >.<
